Introduction
VICCSO in partnership with other stakeholders is developing and will field-test a four-part professional development program. The framework is the same as the education revolution framework.
The four parts of the professional development framework are:
- Shared decision making, which looks at how educational leadership is changing, standards of good governance for school councils and strong self-management in schools
- Powerful learning for all, which explores the mix of: (1) pedagogy and the practice of teaching, (2) the impact of new technologies and (3) curriculum development
- Partnerships for change, which discusses real teams and partnerships, progress toward coherent P-12 or K-20 models of education and performance improvement
- Resources and facilities, which considers the resources and kinds of facilities needed to support the above.
